Are Trees the World's Hair?
One day I was driving with my daughter and from her car seat she asked, "Daddy, are trees the world's hair?"
I had talked to her about the importance of trees and caring for the earth and she deduced something that seemed perfectly logical to her. I thought, how wonderful a child's mind - so free and unfettered that anything is possible.

I have many interests and activist passions and I'd like to think I approach them with the same openness and clarity my daughter saw in those trees so many years ago.
The picture on the right shows my son cartwheeling on the beach in Lanikai, Hawaii at dawn. It reminds me that each day brings another chance to imagine new things and to awaken people to the issues facing the world today.
Foster Gamble (co-creator of thriveon.com) once called me a "comprehensivist." While not in the dictionary I discovered the word had been coined to describe Buckminster Fuller. I rather like that moniker - I think I'll keep it.
My quixotic interests lead me to many areas of research and consequently, I read, annotate and write a large amount of material. In order to store and access it easily I have created this website to primarily serve as my personal collective. You're welcome to peruse it and download anything you find interesting
